Director of Instructional Development, Brilla Schools Network

Mary Catherine Lancaster serves as the director of instructional development for the Brilla Schools Network, developing leaders at the elementary and middle school levels. For five years, Mary Catherine worked at Brilla College Prep, serving first as a teacher and then a teacher leader. Her roles included special education teacher, learning specialist, new teacher development lead, grade and content lead, and school literacy lead. Prior to her work at Brilla College Prep, she worked in the Montgomery County Public School system, serving as an elementary school teacher. Originally from South Carolina, Mary Catherine earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and Spanish from Clemson University. She earned her master’s degree from Teachers College at Columbia University as a reading specialist. Mary Catherine loves being outside with her husband, playing with her dog, and singing with her baby.
