Varrell Eddie joins Seton Education Partners as the Network Manager for High School Placement and Readiness. A native of Brooklyn, NY, he brings over 14 years of experience in education, including 12 years serving students and families in the South Bronx. Throughout his career, Varrell has held a range of student support and school leadership roles, including Dean of Culture and Associate Director of School Culture at New Visions Charter High School for the Humanities II.
Most recently, Varrell served as the Learn to Work Program Director at Mott Haven Community High School with East Side House Settlement. In this role, he led the development of strategic partnerships and internship opportunities while overseeing attendance, academic supports, school culture initiatives, and SEL/advisory curriculum, ensuring students were prepared for both college and career pathways.Varrell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from SUNY Cortland and a Master’s degree in Sports Business Management from Manhattanville University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Education, reinforcing his dedication to meeting the needs of all students.
In addition to his work in education, Varrell previously had a successful career as a college basketball coach, serving as Head Coach of the women’s basketball programs at Purchase College and The City College of New York. Outside of work, Varrell enjoys attending live sporting events, traveling with a goal of visiting all 50 states, and cycling.
