Spencer Garrett serves as the Director of El Camino, Elementary Schools, overseeing the operations of the El Camino Catholic afterschool programming at all Brilla Elementary Schools. Spencer earned bachelor’s degrees in bioengineering and linguistics and a minor in conservation and resource studies from the University of California, Berkeley before initially working with Seton as a Seton Teaching Fellow at Brilla Veritas Elementary. Since being a fellow, he has worked for the Archdiocese of New York as a teacher and administrator at both elementary and high schools in the South Bronx and Harlem.
Spencer has a deep passion for promoting access to a vibrant Catholic education for any family who seeks it, which served as a central motivator for him to complete his master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame’s Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program. He continues to find joy in his daily life in his work with Seton and in fellowship and service with the Community of Sant’Egidio.
